Customized Operations and Maintenance Services
UMMAB has the operations and maintenance (O&M) department, specializing in the meticulous upkeep and management of water and sewage treatment facilities. Our comprehensive operations and maintenance (O&M) services encompass a spectrum of flexible options tailored to meet the diverse needs and budgets of our clients. From on-site plant operators to remote monitoring and training, we ensure that every aspect of plant management is executed with precision and expertise, safeguarding compliance with regulatory standards and minimizing the risk of environmental harm.
In recognition of the specialized nature of water and sewage treatment operations, we offer a suite of standard O&M options, including:
• Full-time and part-time staffing,
• Scheduled site visits
• Remote support
• Operator training
These services provide reassurance that our clients’ water and sewage treatment plants are properly operated, maintained and performing according to their design specifications and within legal discharge limits, reducing the risk of fines and environmental damage caused by poor plant operations and maintenance.
Our commitment to technology and vendor neutrality enables us to extend our O&M services to a diverse range of water and sewage treatment plants, both domestically and internationally.
Plant surveys, audits, and reporting constitute essential components of our maintenance regimen, allowing us to identify potential issues and implement proactive solutions before they escalate.
Our comprehensive audit scope includes sampling and analysis of raw sewage and effluent water, assessment of activated sludge concentration, mechanical inspections, and detailed reporting with actionable recommendations. By leveraging these insights, we empower our clients to make informed decisions about refurbishment, upgrades, and equipment replacement, thereby optimizing the long-term performance and sustainability of their treatment facilities.
Water and sewage treatment plants require regular maintenance checks and adjustments by trained and competent operators. Often due to a lack of expertise, time or money these plants slowly degrade, becoming inefficient at treating water properly and eventually break down.
We recommend performing a thorough plant inspection and audit. We include the following in our plant audit scope of works:
• Sampling and analysis of both the incoming raw sewage water and the outgoing effluent water
• MLSS sampling and lab analysis to determine the concentration and condition of activated sludge (bacteria) within the reactor
• Performing sludge volume (SV) tests from both the reactor and the clarifier to determine the volume of activated sludge in the water which will indicate de-sludging intervals
• Mechanical checks of the plant’s blowers, valves, RAS lines, etc, to determine if they are in working order
Comprehensive reports based on the results which include recommendations and solutions.
The results from the audits are used to compile a comprehensive report detailing the plants overall functionality and also our recommendations regarding the need for refurbishment, upgrading and replacement of equipment.
